Assistance to Sushil Koirala Foundation
गुगलपाटी संवाददाता Kathmandu, The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has pledged to provide assistance to the Sushil Koirala Memorial Foundation.
The assistance would be to run campaign for education, health and sports.
Foundation’s member-secretary Atul Koirala and NRNA Central Chairperson Bhawan Bhatta signed the agreement paper to this effect.
According to the agreement, the NRNA would provide financial assistance to take ahead the campaign in the stipulated areas.
The Foundation was established in 23 Asoj 2073 BS in memory of Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sushil Koirala. It was incepted following the passing away of Sushil Koirala in 25 Magh 2072.
NRNA Maryland chapter organized a discussion programme at Baltimore of Maryland State of the US.
Speaking on the occasion, NRNA Vice-President Jedu Pokharel said that Nepal should recognize the late Koirala as the ‘father of the constitution of the republic Nepal’.
Speaking on the occasion were Foundation founder member and former ambassador Dr Dinesh Bhattarai, member-secretary Atul Koirala, NRNA International Committee founder Vice-chair Dr Shyam Karki and former coordinator of Nepal Janasamparka Samiti, US, Bishnu Subedi and among others highlighted Koirala’s contributions.
