The Supreme Court has issued an interim order to not implement the decision taken by the government to remove two persons from their politically appointed posts.
A single bench of Justice Pursottam Bhandari issued the order today in response to a writ filed by Chairman of National Telecommunications Authority Digambar Jha and Executive Director of Deposit and Credit Guarantee Fund Bishnu Babu Mishra. The court has also invited both sides for deliberations.
In the order, a show cause notice has also been issued in the name of the government, asking it to be present before the court along with a response in writing within seven days. (RSS)
